A Mother’s Love [SATB & Piano]

A note from the composer:
In 2017 I was searching for a piece of music to be performed on Mother's Day with my choir. The service was of course about mothers. I searched high and low, but had a hard time finding a Mother's Day anthem that had substance, that taught a message of a mother's eternal role. Then one morning in April a melody popped into my head with the words, "A mother's love, sent from above is something pure and holy." I quickly jotted the melody and text down and went to work. I completed the anthem just in time to begin rehearsals for Mother's Day. And of course, I dedicated the song to my mother and gave here a copy of the score and a recording from the first performance.
